Two people were sent to the hospital following a car crash on Blanchard Boulevard in Braintree, MA early Friday morning, involving a Honda Accord and a Ford Explorer that was parked and unoccupied.
According to local Braintree police, the 18 year-old Dorchester woman operating the Honda collided with the parked Ford, suffering serious injuries. She was taken to the South Shore Hospital emergency room and later to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition as of Monday.
Her 17 year-old male passenger sustained less serious injuries and was taken to the Boston Medical Center.
Both operator and passenger were unconscious and unresponsive when officers arrived on the scene soon after 5:30 a.m. The two auto crash victims had to be removed from the vehicle by Braintree Fire and EMS personnel.
The Honda suffered major driver-side damage, while the Ford had moderate front-end damage on the driver’s side. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
