New York Police Officer Esther Sanzo, thirty seven years of age, died recently in a car accident on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Nanuet, NY. Sanzo was driving a black 2008 Ford Edge around 1 a.m. when she hit a guardrail. She was ejected from her car and thrown onto the roadway, causing a fatal head injury. Sanzo also was tragically struck by an oncoming car while her Ford continued to roll away until it struck the Route 59 overpass. The exact cause of the auto crash remains unknown, but further investigations, as well as an autopsy, may shed some light on this tragedy.
