Middlesex Sheriff Killed in Billerica, MA Car Accident.

Edward “Teddy” Dillon III, only twenty seven years-old, was working as a deputy corrections officer on the night shift when he was involved in a single-motor vehicle accident in Billerica, MA. 

Though details about how the car accident occurred were not released, it was confirmed that Dillon was killed in the auto crash that occurred at around 4:30 am.

Dillon was apparently working the midnight to 8 am shift at the Middlesex House of Correction.  His duties included routine perimeter checks of the facility and the sheriff’s department property. 

The investigation into the cause of the car accident is ongoing.  Police do not suspect any foul play.
