Four men were injured in a Massachusetts car accident on Saturday, September 14, 2013, when their car crashed into the side of a bridge on Stetson Avenue in Swampscott, Massachusetts.
The auto crash occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. When emergency responders arrived, the four men were conscious and had abandoned the motor vehicle, which had caught on fire. Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.
Three of the men were taken to a hospital in Salem, and another was airlifted to the emergency room of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston to be treated for a head injury. One of the patients originally transported to the Salem hospital was later transferred to a Boston hospital to be treated for facial lacerations.
The two men who were transferred to the Boston hospitals are listed as in stable condition.
The men are all in their early 20s and are locals from Swampscott. The car was a four-door sedan, and was a rental. Swampscott Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the car accident.
