Star soccer player, Andriy Shevchenko, was involved in a minor car accident this past Monday night, mere hours after his goal-scoring heroics for Ukraine in its classic soccer match against Sweden.
News reports indicate that the soccer star crashed his car while traveling back to the Ukraine team’s base, following the win in the Olympic Stadium. Reports further indicate that Shevchenko was travelling with his wife and had stopped to let a pedestrian cross the road in Kiev, Ukraine, when a Jeep allegedly rear-ended his car.
No one in the car accident needed medical attention, and Shevchenko even signed autographs at the auto crash scene before leaving.
