As a society, we have become reliant on our cars. We use them to get to work, run to the grocery store, and pick up our children from school. This constant use of our vehicles has made it easier and easier for people to forget about taking the proper safety precautions needed when getting behind the wheel. This, in turn, leaves the rest of us at risk of being involved in an accident. If you are involved in an accident and suffer injuries due to the negligence of another driver, you may be entitled to compensations for those injuries. Please contact one of our expert Boston personal injury lawyers at the Law Offices of Gilbert R. Hoy, Jr. and Affiliates right away. We will work tirelessly and efficiently on your case to see that you are justly and fairly compensated.
Two people died, and six others were injured, in a crash involving a minivan in downtown Alameda, California early Monday morning. Police believe that excessive speed may have contributed to the crash. The accident occurred at Park Street and Lincoln Avenue. A female was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Five other occupants were taken to area hospitals with critical injuries, and one man died from his injuries. This wasn’t the first fatal crash at this intersection. On May 24, 2015, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing in the crosswalk. In addition, there have been four other fatal collisions in the city of Alameda in the past four years.
