Texting Driver Facing Felony Charges After Killing Pedestrian.

Carla Lynn Brennan of St. George, Utah was arrested on March 4, 2013, when she caused another vehicle to strike a pedestrian in the Green Valley area. According to one eyewitness, the 51-year-old woman was texting while driving, which likely caused the fatal accident.

According to an eyewitness, it appeared as though Brennan was looking down at a cell phone immediately before rear-ending the vehicle in front of her. That vehicle was propelled onto the sidewalk, hitting and killing David Henson. Leslee Henson was also severely injured from the crash.

The case has continuously been given more and more time to allow for accident reconstruction and more detailed cellphone evidence. Leslee Henson is frustrated with the court’s progress, and plans on filing a civil lawsuit sometime soon.
