South African Assistant Soccer Coach Killed in Car Crash.

South African assistant men’s soccer coach, Thomas Madigage, 41, was killed this past Thursday night in a car accident when his car struck a donkey on his way home from a team game.

Madigage was driving home from the Bafana Bafana’s game against Kenya in Nairobi at the time of the auto crash. A stray donkey crossed the road in front of his motor vehicle. Madigage swerved to avoid the animal but lost control of his car.

Madigage was pronounced dead at the scene of the car accident.

Madigage had worked his way up the soccer coaching ranks following a lengthy playing career. He was promoted to an assistant coach with the South African national team in 2011.
