One man was sent to the hospital with personal injuries after his car was sandwiched between two other motor vehicles on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Brittney Thorn, 22, of Elbridge, NY, and Robert Riley, 66, of Auburn, NY, were stopped in traffic in the eastbound lane of Grant Avenue in Auburn, NY. At that time, a vehicle driven by 55 year-old Francis Ryman of Liverpool rear-ended Riley’s vehicle, which then struck Thorn’s motor vehicle in the rear.
Riley was transported to a local hospital emergency room with back and neck injuries.
All three motor vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Police have not yet issued any traffic citations in the incident, but are considering charges against Ryman for following too closely, which caused him to be unable to stop in time.
