Stephanie Guyotte, a spokesperson for the Middlesex County, MA District Attorney’s office, stated that the driver of the motor vehicle that struck Lopes remained at the scene of the car crash until authorities arrived and is cooperating with police.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault in the automobile accident.
