A 43 year-old man from Katy, Texas was killed in a one vehicle accident on Friday night in the Kittanning Township in Pennsylvania. According to Armstrong County Coroner, Brian Myers, the car accident occurred shortly after 10:00 pm at the intersection of Simpson Church Road & Roofner Road. The 2016 Nissan Frontier was traveling on Simpson Church Road at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway striking several trees and going down an embankment. Michael Edward Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene by Chief Deputy Coroner Robert Bellas at 11:00 pm. A female passenger was flown to a trauma center with what was described as moderate but not life-threatening injuries.
